P.M. Serajul Islam, Our correspondent, Kushtia:  Kushtia Zila Parishad has released nearly a Bigha land which is situated beside the high way of Kushtia to Jhenaidha named Battoil Mouza. A local person named Rakibul Islam had occupied this land since long time. For this the government was losing from the billions of revenue. Kushtia Zilla Parishad leased on favor of of KNB Agro Industries Limited for earning revenue after releasing the occupied land so that the government can recover the revenue.  According to the source of Kushtia Zila Parishad, Rakibul Islam, son of late Anwar Ali of Harishankarpur area had been occupying the land since long time. According to the law, it is absolutely prohibited to set any type of market and making any type of commercial establishment within 10 meters from highway. But ignoring this directive of the law, Rakibul Islam had established two-storied market and earned a lot of money fully illegally. Recently, the authority of Kushtia Zila parishad took initiative for releasing the occupied land from Rakibul Islam.  Shafiqul Azam, Assistant Engineer, Moniruzzaman, Surveyor, others officials and employees of the district council were present during the release of the land. When contacted, Munshi Md Moniruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer of the district council, said that the precious property of the government was occupied for a long time. As a result the government was deprived of revenue. According to the documents, this property is 100% government property which under kushtia Zila parishad. When contacted, Rakibul Islam, said that Kushtia District Council destroyed my market fully illegally. I want justice.
